Languages for Life Ltd offer translations from Dutch into English and English into Dutch. Our translators work only into their mother tongue and as before mentioned, in their area/s of expertise.  This means that we use at least two translators for a project involving translations in and out Dutch.

Localisations

When we ‘translate’ websites, brochures, cookbooks etc., we talk about localisation, as these types of documents require additional attention. When we localise, we ensure that the content, the tone and register reflects the Dutch into English or English into Dutch, but not necessarily in the same words. A sentence or phrase which sounds absolutely perfect in one language might not achieve the same result in another. When we localise a cook book for example, our linguists will try to find equivalent ingredients if an original ingredient is not available in both countries. In some cases the recipe might need to be adjusted or changed in agreement with the client. Localisations lead to accurate authentic documents in the target language.
